CI Student Days: Distinctive Regional Real-world Learning Experiences
During CI Student Days events, students have the opportunity to visit active construction sites, after learning directly from various stakeholders about the project and how their roles tie together to achieve the final product. Recognizing that networking is essential to new engineers for career development and personal growth, Student Days events also feature experienced professional engineers providing technical presentations, and representatives from leading industry corporations in "Speed Networking" sessions that are always a high point of the conference.

Come together to plan for the future of Construction Engineering
This conference will bring together focused construction engineering educators, researchers, and practitioners with the goals of promoting opportunities in the area of construction engineering to young faculty and university decision makers; identifying mutually beneficial interfaces between industry practitioners, construction educators and researchers; and establishing a holistic research and education agenda for construction engineering.
This conference contains two complementary parts over two days :
Symposium: To investigate the role of construction engineering as it pertains to various project types, equipment selection, economics, and education (1.5 days); .
Workshop: to establish priorities in construction engineering research and education (0.5 days)
The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) introduced new specifications for its Civil Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) examination. As part of the revised specifications, the existing water resources and environmental depth modules are being combined into one module, and a new depth module in construction engineering has been added. These changes took effect with the April 2008 exam.
